The Next-gen Honda City has been spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time. The test mule of the car was spotted around Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). The new Honda City will replace the current, fourth-ten model that made its debut back in 2014. The new model gets a wider front grille, bigger chrome strip, new OVRM wider lamps with LED strips, etc. The New Honda City might be offered with a petrol mild hybrid option in its lineup.

The new City gets a wraparound tail-lamps just like the outgoing model. The image also reveal that it is quite longer and wider than the current Honda city. The Next-gen Honda City might get some new features like Honda”s new lane-watch system and an electric parking brake.

The New Honda City might retain the same 1.5-litre, 4 cylinder engine which churns out 117 BHP at 6600 RPM and 145 Nm Torque at 4600 RPM petrol option and new BS6 compliant diesel engine. The diesel variant may also get a CVT engine-gearbox. Honda is also likely to offer a compact hybrid system, which is said to be based on the Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (iMMD) hybrid powertrain. We Expect the 5th-gen Honda City to launch in India sometime during the first half of 2020.
