TVS Motor Company has launched the updated variant of the TVS Jupiter. The new Jupiter Grande is priced at Rs.59,900 (ex-showroom,Delhi), which is just under ₹ 7,000 more expensive than the standard Jupiter variant. The connectivity system is the same as the one available on the TVS NTorq 125, and will allow riders to connect both Android and iOS smartphones to access features like call notification, text notification, over speeding alert, trip report and more.
The TVS Jupiter Grande features a semi-digital speedometer along with chrome bezel which enhances its style quotiant. The semi-digital speedometer is equipped with features like digital fuel indicator, odometer, trip meter, service reminder, helmet reminder and more. The Jupiter Grande also features an adjustable rear shock absorber, which TVS says is another first-in-class feature.
The key features of the Grande Edition include a full LED headlamp, an exclusive Tech Blue colour scheme on the bodywork, chrome garnishing on the front fender and rear-view mirrors, premium maroon colour cross-stitched seat, beige interior panels and diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels.
The TVS Jupiter is powered by the same 109.7 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, which churns out 7.9 BHP of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Jupiter Grande comes with front disc brakes with Sync Braking Technology (SBT) as standard. The new TVS Jupiter Grande isn’t a BS6 model.TVS Jupiter will compete with Hero Maestro Edge, Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125.
