The 3 year old CRS was installed forward facing using the ISOFIX anchorages as well as a top tether and offered fair protection to the dummy. The Mahindra XUV300 offers the possibility of disconnecting the passenger airbag in case of the need to use a rearward facing CRS in the passenger seat. The XUV300 scored only four star rating for the child occupant protection due to the lack of three point seat belts in all seating positions, as well as the poor ISOFIX marking.
