2021 Jeep Wrangler will be launched in India on March 15

The Jeep India has started accepting bookings for the locally-assembled Wrangler in India and will be launched on March 15, 2021. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be the second model to roll-out from the brand’s Ranjangaon, Maharashtra plant. The fourth-gen Wrangler was imported to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The made-in-india 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be nearly identical to the CBU model but will attract lower taxation, with the benefit being passed on to customers. The currently-sold Jeep Wrangler priced between Rs 63.94-68.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) is imported to India under the law that allowed the import and sale of 2,500 vehicles a year without them having to be homologated. Hence, the local-assembled 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be priced lower than the CBU model.

The Jeep Wrangler is the second out of the four localised products we committed to launch in India. We wanted to make the world’s most recognised SUV even more accessible to our Indian customers and we are pleased to be able to meet their aspirations.” Partha Datta – Managing Director, Jeep India said
