    Production-spec Volkswagen Taigun unveiled, will get GT variant

    Volkswagen has unveiled the new production-spec Taigun. The new Volkswagen Taigun is based on the new MQB A0 IN platform. The new Skoda Kushaq is also based on the same platform. Volkswagen Taigun is based on the new MQB A0 IN platform and has 2651 mm wheelbase similar to the Kushaq. The Taigun will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and the upcoming Skoda Kushaq.

    The Taigun sports a prominent Volkswagen front grille with chrome applique and new VW logo. The large air intake with a small skid plate on the bottom creates a muscular look. At the side, the Volkswagen Taigun has a design similar to Skoda Kushaq. At the rear, the tailgate is dominated by the flashy chrome bar, and the smoked full-width lighting section gives a unique look to the Taigun.

    Built on the MQB A0 IN platform, Taigun will be up to 95% localized and powered by TSI engine with two engine options, 1L TSI and 1.5L TSI, both of which are coupled with front-wheel drive. and three transmissions offering a wide array of choices to the customers. Depending on the variants, the Volkswagen Taigun will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed DSG.

    The Volkswagen Taigun will available multiple variants and the range-topping trim would be the Taigun GT. The VW Taigun GT will come with features such as LED headlamps with LED DRL, virtual cockpit with a fully digital instrument cluster, 25.4 cm touchscreen infotainment system, Auto AC with touch control, ventilated leather front seats, electric sunroof, R 17 dual tone alloy wheels, continuous LED tail-lamps, Rear view camera, Multi-function leather wrapped steering wheel, Electric sunroof, My Volkswagen Connect, Wireless AppConnect, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and Type C, USB charging ports. The VW Taigun will have ambient lighting, Smart storage spaces, Flattened tunnel at rear, Spacious & roomy interiors, owing, Modern dashboard layout with décor inserts

    In terms of safety, the new VW Taigun will be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), 6 airbags, tyre pressure deflation warning, 3 head-restraints at rear, rear park distance control, hill-hold control, ISOFIX and ABS with EBD.
