Tata Motors is now gearing up to launch the newest addition to its SUV lineup. The Company has christened this highly anticipated Micro SUV based on the H2X Concept as ‘Punch’. Tata Motors has today officially unveiled the Punch, its first SUV built on ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture), developed under Impact 2.0 design language. After the launch, Tata Punch will be the brand’s most affordable SUV sold in India.
The Tata Punch is expected to be powered by two 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engines. The lower-spec variants will be powered by a 83 hp naturally aspirated engine, which is been used in the Tiago and the Tigor. Meanwhile, higher variants are expected to come with the Altroz iTurbo’s 1.2-litre turbo-charged. The Punch is expected to available with manual and automatic transmission option.

True to the SUV genes of all Tata Motors’ products and catering to needs of customers who are looking for a compact city car with pure SUV characteristics, PUNCH will be the fourth addition to our SUV family, widening the range of options for all to choose from.
The Tata Punch Micro SUV will be priced under INR 5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the upcoming Hyundai Casper. The Tata Motors will position the new micro SUV just below the Nexon. The Tata Punch will be launched during the upcoming festive season.
